Adriana & Michael's Engagement Session | Fresno, CA
I've known Adriana since 7th grade (aka 2008). 2008 was a momentous year for pop culture, giving us Katy Perry and the first of the Twilight movies. Let's not forget all the fringe, long side-swept bangs, plaid, and waist-cinching belts.
I'm glad to report I did not have a camera until I entering 9th grade, so my middle school years remain largely hidden. However, there is a special surprise at the bottom of this post if you're curious about those 9th grade days.
Therefore, when Adriana sent us the news that she was engaged, I was soooo excited for her! When she asked me to take her and Michael's engagement photos, I couldn't help but count down the days.
We chose two spots for their session, and one of them Adriana found on this blog! If I needed a reason to continue to post these, there it is. I want my clients to go into their session feeling relaxed, and that they know what they can expect both throughout their session and in the final album delivered.
We began at the Vineyard Farmer's Market in Fresno. You may recognize it: the lush green, rustic wood, and beautiful mosaics line the outer edge of this farmer's market, making it the perfect location for engagement sessions.
It didn't take long to realize how well Adrianna & Michael fit together. They radiated so much connection, joy, and understanding of one another during their session. I felt honored that they let me into their world for a bit to capture that on camera.
Up next, we went to a special location for Adriana & Michael. They chose a little Fresno church, right in the middle of their neighborhood. It was a special spot to them as they loved talking walks through their neighborhood together and often stopped at this church.
The church was definitely a beautiful choice for their engagement session. It was special to them, but also has some beautiful greenery and architecture to showcase.
Also, can we talk about their outfit choices? Outfits can really make or break your final album. You want to pick outfits that highlight the best parts of you; something you feel confident, beautiful, and YOU in.
Adriana & Michael looked amazing in their final album, with her floor-length light pink lace gown and his cream dress shirt, light brown shoes, and sage dress pants. Their outfits complimented each other and their locations so well--I couldn't have planned it better myself.
Now, as promised, here's a little peak at Adriana & myself in 9th grade
This photo was taken at a marching band competition in St. George, Utah, and our matching t-shirts came from our show (which did win 1st place in this competition). Adriana and I did colorguard with each other for 6 years, making this engagement session a special one for herself and me.
Adriana & Michael, it was an honor to capture this special season of your life. Thank you for choosing my business, and I can't wait to see the life you two build together.
